EU Directive WEEE/RoHS and the new German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Law

The EU Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) is implemented in national law by the ElektroG (German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Law): "It is forbidden to launch new electrical and electronic equipment on the market containing more than 0.1% by weight in lead per homogeneous substance" (ElektroG §5 para. 1). This ban applies from July 2006.

As producer of soldering products with more than 50 years of experience, TAMURA ELSOLD offers lead-free materials which fulfil the quality requirements of the electrical and electronic industry just as reliably as lead-bearing materials. Lead-free TAMURA ELSOLD products have been used successfully for all soldering methods for years.

For applications excluded from the ElektroG, TAMURA ELSOLD still offers the proven TAMURA ELSOLD soldering products.
